Natural Shampoos: Organic Egg and Vinegar Rinse Anyone?

on September 3, 2008

I recently tried washing my little prince’s hair with organic egg yolk and rinsing it with a diluted Bragg’s apple cider vinegar.

He wrinkled his nose at the funny smell of the raw egg and immediately said . ” That shampoo has a bad smell!”

I tried smelling his hair afterwards and it smelled like that of a baby chick. His hair was hard but shiny I think because of the vinegar.

I ended up reshampooing his hair with olive castille soap. It ended up smelling much better, finally lost the baby chick scent.

Although using olive castille soap as a shampoo will not soften the hair like a synthetic conditioner will, but its basically okay.

Looks like I’ll have to research more on natural hair conditioners.
