FDA Recalls Milk Products in Manila

on September 22, 2010

FDA ordered the recall of two milk products: Sustagen Junior milk Drink Powder Vanilla Flavor and Alactagrow Bibo Trio Milk Supplement. Both milk products are manufactured by Mead Johnson and are alleged to be deficient in fat level content.

According to FDA standards, the required fat content for milk supplements should be between 3 to 6 grams per 100 calories. Based on FDA evaluation, the fat contents of Sustagen and Alactagrow were only 1.5 grams and 1.34 grams per 100 calories.

If you have purchased any of these products, please return them to the manufacturer or the licensed distributor. as they are non-compliant with FDA standards and have technical compliance issues.

      Hi Alyana,

Thanks for the post. Yes they are fit for human consumption but I’d rather return mine and wait for the reformulated products. No sense paying good money for premium milk if standards are not up to par.
